Dear Parents,

We would like to invite your child to attend the Star Spangled Girl Dance Clinic to be held at Homewood High School Fine Arts Wing.  Students in grades K-5 are invited to participate in our clinic where their classes will be taught by the Star Spangled Girls.  The students will be broken up into small groups within their grade level to learn dance routines, “Hoorah for Homewood”, and play fun dance games.  They will also have fun arts and crafts activities! This will give your child the opportunity to have great fun dancing in a no pressure learning environment.

Each participant will be invited to perform at the Varsity Football Game during the 1st half on September 1st  at  Waldrop Stadium in West Homewood.

The dance clinic will be held on Saturday, August 26, 9 - 11:30 a.m. in the Fine Arts Wing of Homewood High School.  We will have a performance from 11:30 – 12:15 p.m. noon in the large auditorium.  This is the new addition next to the baseball field on 1901 South Lakeshore Drive.  Please pre-register by sending check and form to the address listed below. *** Note that you MUST pre-register by August 16th to guarantee the correctly sized t-shirt for your child!!!  For pre-registered students the cost of the clinic is $30 payable to Homewood High School. This form may be completed and payment sent completely ONLINE.  Please visit the Homewood High School webpage and go to online payments.  Click on “Star Spangled Girls” and you will see the Kids Clinic Fee. When you hover over the words, you may enter the school your child attends and the tshirt size you are requesting.

If you are sending in your form via mail, please include your phone number on your check.  If you wish to register the morning of the clinic the cost is $35.  First come first served with the remaining t-shirts.

Please send your child on Saturday, August 26th by 8:30 a.m. dressed in a leotard and tights, or shorts and a t-shirt, tennis shoes and hair pulled back in a barrette or ponytail.  The students will be given bathroom and snack breaks where snacks will be provided. If your child has allergies, please let us know upon arrival.  You may bring your own student’s snack.  Students should be picked up around 12 p.m., but remember that the parent show will start at 11:30.  If you have additional questions please contact Jennifer Ayers at Homewood High School 871-9663 or by email at  We look forward to a great day of dance fun with your child!
