Sophomores will take the Aspire test the week after spring break. See the schedule below to identify when your student will test.
Tuesday, April 4th – Math
Wednesday, April 5th – Reading
Thursday, April 6th – Science
Friday, April 7th – English & Writing
The same test will be given twice each day – an Early-Morning session and a Mid-Morning session. Both sessions will take place in the Math Pod.
Students who have Clements, Piola, or Holbrooks for 10th grade social studies will test during the Early-Morning session, which begins at 7:50 a.m. When students get to school, they should go directly to their testing room in the Math Pod.
Students who have Carlson or DePew for 10th grade social studies will test during the Mid-Morning session, which begins at 9:40 a.m. After 2nd period, students should go directly to their testing room in the Math Pod.
The Aspire test will provide important information to determine how students are progressing at their current grade level, as well as along their overall path toward future college and career readiness. Aspire will indicate which important skills, abilities, and knowledge your student has now, and which ones still need to be learned in order to be successful in school in the future. Results will provide specific suggestions for improving skills.
Students are encouraged to rest well the night before each test day and eat a healthy breakfast. For more information, please click here to download the flyer in English, and click here to download the flyer Spanish.
